AATEX Alabama: Accessible and Assistive Technology Expo of Alabama

Last Friday, I attended AATEX Alabama: Accessible and Assistive Technology Expo of Alabama, presented by the Office of Disability Services at The University of Alabama.

The expo had three primary goals. From the ODS website:

  • Introduce attendees to accessible and assistive technology they may have never seen before.
  • Demonstrate the accessibility features of technology that attendees may already be using.
  • Allow attendees to learn more about organizations that serve individuals with disabilities.

I enjoyed the event and learned- and tweeted- a lot. For those who may be interested but were unable to attend, here’s a Storify of tweets from the event. Please let me know if I missed your tweet or if the format is not accessible to you.
